The Kaliningrad regional government is ready to grant a subsidy to Hyundai in case of the construction of a plant producing automobile transmission lines.
This statement was made by Governor Anton Alikhanov at a meeting with the Korean Ambassador, the press office of the regional government said.
‘In addition to those benefits that exist in the special economic zone of the Kaliningrad region, we are ready to compensate expenses in the amount of 200 million rubles ($3 million) for the construction of a transmission line plant there. We expect that the plant will serve not only cars that are produced here but also the needs of the automotive industry in Russia. This position is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. We confirm our interest in the construction of this type of enterprise in the region’, Anton Alikhanov noted.
