According to the executive director of Bulgarian real estate agency, Polina Stoykova, the most attractive prices for housing are near the largest resorts of the country.
Gated communities or small block houses have been built in the neighborhood of Solnechny Bereg, Kosharitsa, and Tankovo, where apartments cost some €300-350 per square meter. In Bansko, around the golf course, there are offers even for €200-250 per square meter, in Borovets — about €350. Sometimes, prices in satellite settlements, which are located 10-15 km from the main attraction of the resort, can be lower by 40-50%.
In 2018, an increased interest in the resort real estate is expected, mainly due to Bulgarian buyers. Statistics from the registration agency says that after the departure of Russians, the number of transactions with housing near the sea has fallen over the past 2-3 years.
