The idea was initiated by the hotel group Karisma Hotels Adriatic, which opened a large hotel complex —Holiday Village Montenegro.
The new airport is planned to be built in the village of Stoi located in Ulcinj Riviera, thus significantly increasing a tourist flow. The company together with its partner — the tour operator TUI — plans to make a modern recreation center out of Ulcinj Riviera.
In particular, the main point of development will be the island of Ada-Bojana. The amount of investments to date has reached €14 million. At the request of the TUI, the island must be cleared of third-party buildings that interfere with the reconstruction.
In 2017, Karisma Hotels Adriatic has already demolished local Bellevue and Olympic hotels, having built in their place a large complex of Holiday Village Montenegro.
