The profitability of local property ranges from 5% to 7% per annum while low prices compared to Western markets are of interest to small investors who prefer to purchase between 10 20 rental apartments. Most of the foreign buyers are from Israel or Switzerland, who invest from €1 to €5 million. The most attractive segment of the market for them is housing.
Private investors arrive in Romania to stay on the market for a long time, and as a rule, the transaction takes from one to three months. Usually, they buy 10-20 apartments with two or three rooms. Such investors are looking for projects in Bucharest, rarely — outside the capital city.
