During the year, 42,000 transactions with residential real estate were concluded, which is almost 30% more than in 2017, and is the best indicator since January 2007.
The most noticeable shift is observed in Valencia, mainly due to the interest of foreign investors. By April 2018, sales of housing in the Valencian community reached 6,172, which is 35.5% more than in the same month last year.
The increase in the number of transactions is partly due to the fact that the decline in activity during the Holy Week coincided with March. Last year, the celebrations took place in April. When viewed only the current year, the volume of transactions in Spain has grown by 15.6% for the first four months. The growth has been observed for the last 11 months.
