The Israeli Housing Office has approved a proposal for doubling the number of foreign workers who are permitted to be engaged in construction activities in the country, the Ministry of Finance of Israel reported.

A total of 12,000 foreign workers will be allowed to work in the country in at least six international companies, each of which is permitted to hire up to 1,000 employees. This is expected to increase the supply of housing and provide each young family with an apartment at a reasonable price, Xinhuanet reports.

Advanced construction technologies and skilled workers attracted by foreign companies will also increase the scope of the construction sector and improve the quality of buildings.
