Moscow was included in the list of the world’s megacities with the highest level of infrastructure and service development combined with a controlled impact on the environment, PwC said.
Estimating the 14 world’s largest megacities, including Paris, Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Singapore and other, experts came to the conclusion that the Russian capital can be related to a category of the “altruist city”. Among the factors that influenced this decision were the quality and availability of social service facilities.
At the same time, according to the criterion of social infrastructure comfortability, Moscow has outstripped all other cities. In addition, the Russian capital takes the 1st position in the number of retail outlets located within walking distance of residential buildings.
