The Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and of the Russian Federation intends to enter into a system of insurance for special accounts for housing overhaul, Mikhail Menn, the Minister of Construction and housing and communal services of the Russian Federation, said today at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on housing policy and housing and communal services. According to him, this measure will be taken to allay citizens’ fears of the safety of accumulation on special accounts in the present economic situation. The job of carrying out a study on the system of insurance of the special accounts has already been assigned by Dmitry Medvedev and the corresponding work is now being conducted.
We remind you that the owners of premises in apartment houses now have the right to make a decision on the use of the overhaul fund for the general property in this house from a special bank account. The right to the money in the special account is reserved by the owners of the premises in such houses.
