Russian Crisis affects Turkish construction

Not far from Antalya at Belek, near the village of Bogazak, there are unfinished houses intended for the rental personnel working at hotels of different categories along the coast. Answering the question of our correspondent - why this happens, an employee of the tour company said quite simply. Filling the hotels with tourists from Russia decreased by 25-35%compared with the same period last year. Hotels are forced to optimize their costs, i.e. reduce staff. The one who stays at work also has to optimize expenses and instead of renting an apartment for 4-6 people, rents an apartment for 8-10 people a season.  For this reason local construction companies have to stop the planned construction of low houses for rent and wait for the best times. It should be noted: the Turkish investors – developers don't hurry for this reason to complete hotels, both small, and big. So on a building site of CRYSTAL WATERWORD RESORT hotel, where two new buildings are being constructed (the other eight did last year), our correspondent saw only two workers during the working day. Facades of the buildings under construction unlike the previously built have cheaper finish.
