A resolution on housing provision for legally emancipated children was adopted at the conference of the Moscow Government on July 14, 2015.




The Resolution draft was presented by Head of Social Security Department of Moscow Vladimir Petrosian. According to him, housing space, mainly studios of 37-38 square meters from specialized dwelling stock will be provided for children of 14 for the term of 5 years. Then a social renting contract will be signed with each teen-ager. The flats that are to be rendered are in good condition and fully correspond the norms and regulations of housing law. Since the 2000’s Moscow orphans were provided with 6,784 housing spaces. In 2011 it was 490, in 2014 – 605 flats. In 2015 children will get 651 flats. Moscow’s public prosecution office, together with Ministry of Internal Affairs strictly control the situation to defend the rights of teenagers.
