The construction of a new locomotive plant “Bombardier” for 6.8 bln rubles has been solemnly completed in Engels (Saratov region).
As the regional press office told Construction.ru, Saratov regional governor Valery Radaev took part in the start of the unique enterprise.
The work at the construction site started two years ago. The investment volume totals more than 6.8 bln rubles. Permission to put the plant into operation has already been signed.
A double locomotive named “Knyaz Vladimir” has already been assembled at the plant. Before the end of the year two more such locomotives will be assembled. Up to 1,500 highly qualified specialists will work here.
