Today, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Mikhail Menn, and governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyev, put into operation in the Noginsk region a plant producing energy-saving pumps and pump systems of the German WILO company.

As our special correspondent, Nadezhda Dyomina, reports from the ground, at an opening ceremony Dmitry Medvedev said that the equipment, which will be manufactured in this plant, is extremely needed by the Russian housing and utility sector.

In that regard, Russian PM warmly thanked the investor – WILO company – for its decision to place production in our country. As a reference, the plant in the Noginsk region has become the first WILO enterprise in Russia.

A logistics center, industrial and office buildings have been built on 5,5 hectares land plot.

Also, the Europe biggest pump testing center is erected at the plant, as well as a training center for Russian designers and engineers, a service center for maintenance of water utilities, thermal power stations and public utilities enterprises.

The volume of investments in the construction work and plant’s equipment totals 35 m euro.

400 new hi-tech jobs have been created there. The level of production localization is 30%, however, in 3 – 4 years it will amount to 80-85%.

The Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Menn, stressed that such products will definitely be in demand, given the increase of private investments in the housing and utility sector of Russia. As a reference, in 2015, the number of concluded concession agreements was 2,5 times more than it was in 2014.

“Private investors, who enter the housing and utility sector, are strongly motivated to reduce losses in the industry, since their income, in particular, depends on energy-efficient technologies. That is why, purchase of equipment produced on such plants will be among the priorities” – explained Head of the Construction Ministry of Russia.

He also added that over the long period of time Russia had to purchase pump systems abroad, but now this area is becoming partially subject to import substitution.

WILO Group is one of the world leading producers of energy-saving pumps and pump systems for water utilities, heating, conditioning and other industrial purposes.

The company’s subsidiary enterprises operate in more than 60 countries worldwide.
