The official opening ceremony of a plant producing thermal insulation was attended by the Construction, Housing and Utilities Minister of Russia, Mikhail Menn, the first Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Gleb Nikitin, the deputy governor of the Ryazan region, Ivan Filimonov, and the president of TechnoNICOL corporation, Sergei Kolesnikov.
Mikhail Menn pointed out that as soon as the modern production line is operating at full capacity, 30 m m2per year of a new sort of thermal insulation, Logicroof PIR, will be manufactured there, reported our special correspondent Alexander Nevsky.
The Minister also stressed that the product is in demand on the international market and will be supplied to more than 70 countries.
The president of the TechnoNICOL corporation, Sergei Kolesnikov, said that investments into the project total 1.7 bln roubles.
The deputy governor, Ivan Filimonov, said that the regional authorities never imagined that the abandoned production unit of the former ZIL factory, where the factory is located, would ever be exploited for the purposes of the construction industry.
He also noted that the TechnoNICOL corporation is now the second largest taxpayer in the region.
The First Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Gleb Nikitin, also delivered a welcoming speech to the event’s participants.
