A total volume of concession agreements made in the utility and housing sector in Russia has reached 84 bln roubles, our special correspondent, Evgeny Gorchakov, reports from the All-Russian meeting held in Moscow on the subject of implementation of the utilities and housing strategy.
This statement was made by Head of the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Menn. According to him, 857 concession agreements have been concluded with investment obligations in amount of 84 bln roubles.
That accounts for 20% of total funding of all investment programs of resource supplying entities in Russia.
In addition, the Minister said that soon the authorities might permit the citizens to select between conventional and energy efficient overhaul. This measure admits of reducing spending on housing and utility services.
In Russia at large, overhaul of 100,000 multi-apartment buildings by 2018 lies ahead. Meanwhile, only 30,000 of such buildings have been repaired over the course of the last two years.
