Russia and Belarus to work together over BIM technologies adoption

Today, in Minsk, within the framework of the first meeting on the issue of enhancing cooperation in the field of construction, the Head of Russian Construction Ministry Mikhail Menn and his counterpart, Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister Anatoly Chyorny, signed a protocol of immediate actions.




The parties agreed to set up common “road maps” on technical rate setting, pricing and expertise for the year 2017, the press office of the Russian Construction Ministry told Construction.RU.

Also, a decision was taken to prepare joint proposals for the plan for interstate standardization in construction for the period between 2017 and 2020. For the purpose to elaborate an agreed interstate policy in the area of technical rate setting, a joint proposal to establish within CIS a united interstate technical committee will be submitted to Eurasian Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification.

In addition, Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister, Anatoly Chyorny, offered to establish team-work to intensify adoption of BIM technologies. The parties reached an agreement to create such draft document by the middle of 2017.
