According to RIA Novosti, in the course of his telephone talk with President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan President Putin told that Russia is ready to supply gas to Southern and South-Eastern Europe via the territory of Turkey, and there are interested partners.
"If our partners wish, we shall be ready to deliver gas to Southern and South-Eastern Europe via the territory of Turkey”, said President Putin discussing the construction of the Turkish Stream pipeline with the President of Turkey.
"I assure you, he said, that we shall decently present your interests, because in this case our interests coincide. Vladimir Putin mentioned good progress in the implementation of the Turkish Stream project and stressed that some items are still to be discussed: the pipe-line’s point of entry, crossing the territory of Turkey, and the issues of ecological security. If we keep on the pace, we shall fulfill all our plans, he added.
Putin reminded that the first line of the main is to be ready in 2018, the second line – in the end of 2019.
