By mid-April, Tolmachyovo airport will announce a tender for the first phase of its terminal complex reconstruction, the company’s director general, Eugene Yankilevich, said at a press conference in Interfax press center on Thursday.

“We expect that within the first phase we will complete construction and assembly activities totalling 1.8 billion rubles,” — Yankelevich noted.

The reconstruction will consist of three phases. Commissioning of the first phase is scheduled for the III quarter of 2019. “In 2019, maybe earlier, we will proceed with designing of the second and third stages,” he added.

“Within the first phase, we see the expansion of a domestic terminal by 12,400 square meters. In fact, it is unification of two terminal facilities (domestic and international — editor’s note), that is, building up the land, which is located beyond the connecting gallery,” — Yankelevich said.

The total cost of all the phases is not specified. The estimated time of commissioning of all phases is the year of 2022.
