The construction of a very important road bridge from Blagoveschensk in Russia to Heihe in China could start as early as July 2016.
As Construction.ru was told by the press office of the administration of the Blagoveschensk district, located in the Amur region, the construction of the bridge through Amur will take 3 years.
The work had been scheduled to have been started much earlier, in June 2016. The investment in the project is estimated at 16 bln roubles, including 10 bln roubles for the Russian part and 6 bln roubles for the Chinese part.
The road construction has already been discussed at public sessions.
Blagoveshchensk is located at the confluence of the Amur and Zeya Rivers, opposite the Chinese city of Heihe. Its population is 214,390.
