This year the construction of the Russian part of the railway bridge across the Amur will start. It will connect the settlement Nizhneleninskoye of the Jewish Autonomous Region and the town of Tongjiang in China.
Vice-Premier, RF Presidential Envoy in the Far-East Federal District Yury Trutnev told journalists about it in Khabarovsk. As he said, the construction works will be financed by the Far East development and Russian direct investments foundations. The construction of the bridge across the Amur is carried out according to the agreements between the Russian and Chinese Governments dated 2008. This will be the first railway bridge between the RF and PRC. The Chinese party contractor is China Civil Engineering Construction Company. The company plans to complete its section this autumn.
