A special area where visitors will have an opportunity to listen to the sounds of the Universe, is planned for the “Lakhta Center” observation platform, located in Saint-Petersburg.

This project was suggested by the “Archi-chance” contest winners, Lyubov Gorodets and Olga Simonenko, who represent the Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

As Construction.ru was told by the contest’s organizers, the main concept of the winning project, named “Existentiality”, is based on the human aspiration to conquer the heights of space.

On the lowest level of the observation platform, the project’s authors propose a demonstration of interactive topical projections. At the upper levels, they suggest the creation of a special area, where the Universe can be listened to.

To remind you, the platform, located at a height of 357 m above sea level, will become one of the highest observation spots in the world and a unique site for Saint Petersburg.

The main tower will be 462 m high. The completion of the “Lakhta Center” is scheduled for 2018.
