As it became known on Friday, a courageous female crane operator from Donbass, Tamara Pastukhova, who saved three workers from a fire at a construction site in Saint Petersburg, was granted Russian citizenship.
According to the Federal Migration Service Directorate, the decision was taken on the 8th of May, before Victory Day, RIA Novosti reports.
An extensive fire at the construction site occurred in the evening of the 19th of January. At a height of 100 m, a timber facing of a reinforced concrete pole caught fire and 3 building workers were trapped by the flames.
Risking her own life, Tamara Pastukhova moved her crane close to the workers so that they could climb upon it and then brought them down to the ground.
