The authorities of Tatarstan started negotiations with the German company on the subject of the construction of a maleic anhydride plant in that region. The project is estimated at 120 m euro.
Maleic anhydride is used in production of tape, man-made fibre, washing means, pharmaceutical drugs and other, the press office of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency told Construction.RU today.
The capacity of this facility amounts to 45,000 tons of maleic anhydride per year. Currently the deal is being negotiated.
Highly industrialized Republic of Tatarstan is one of the most economically developed regions of the Russian Federation. Its most developed manufacturing industries are petrochemical industry and machine building. However, the main source of the Republic's wealth is oil.
