The construction of an industrial park with an area of over 14,000 m2 has been launched on the territory of the Port Special Economic Zone in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk.
Free customs zone without payment of fees, VAT and excise duty is envisaged for enterprises there, director general of the “Ulyanovsk” Special Economic Zone, Denis Baryshnikov, told reporters on Tuesday. The projected industrial park is intended for small-size businesses.
Agreements on rent of the industrial park’s premises have already been reached with two investors. These projects are estimated at 500 m roubles and are supposed to create 200 jobs.
The park’s territory is expected to be fully occupied by 2017, when the object is scheduled to be put into operation.
The industrial park represents a four-storeys unit consisting of standard industrial premises with an area of 14,300 m2.
