Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev assigns to spend RUB 12,1 bln on roads modernization

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev gave an assignment to allocate 12,1 bln roubles for construction, reconstruction and repair of the regions’ roads with artificial covering in 2016.




According to the document, published on Thursday on the Cabinet’s website, 19 regions of Russia will receive funding from the federal budget.

In particular, 12,1 bln roubles will be allotted to construction and reconstruction of artificial roads in the regions of the country.

This measure will allow to do up roads and bridges in 2016, which are in pre-accident or critical condition.

The funds will be allotted to the Republics of Altai, Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Karelia, Karachayevo Cherkessiya, Udmurtia, Chechnya, Chuvashia, as well as to the Krasnodar, Bryansk, Voronezh, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Orlov, Penza, Rostov, Samara and Tambov regions.
