In 2016, the Federal Road Transport Agency will direct federal subsidies totaling 6.8 bln roubles to the regions with the purpose of financing the construction of roads connecting rural settlements.
The building of over 600 km of roads is planned to be funded within the framework of this program, the Agency’s press office told Construction.ru.
Federal investment volumes have increased twofold in comparison with the previous period. 4 bln roubles were allocated to the regions from the federal budget in 2015, and 3 bln roubles more from the regional budget. Altogether, 384 km of roads have been built.
Within the period of 2017 – 2020, over 36 bln roubles is scheduled to be allocated from the federal budget towards the construction and reconstruction of rural roads in Russia. This will allow no less than 720 km of roads to be put into operation annually.
The construction of modern roads will help development in rural areas and entrepreneurship in the regions.
