On Monday, Israelis Public Utility Authority announced that it would issue over 1,000 MW of fresh quotas, The Jerusalem Post reports.
According to PUA chairman Assaf Eilat, this measures are expected to accelerate the volume of renewable energy, so that it will fully comply with the objectives set by the government.

There will be at least six rounds of competition for low, high and extra-high voltage projects. Low and high voltage facilities will have to be built over the period of 18 months, whereas extra-high voltage one must be realized within 36 months.
