The Moscow region’s authorities plan to discuss with the federal government of Russia the issue of establishing the fourth Special Economic Zone, the deputy president of the regional government and the Minister of Investments and Innovations of the Moscow region, Denis Butsaev, announced on Friday.
“We expect that the next year we will be able to discuss with the federal government opening of the fourth SEZ in the agriculture and industrial sector,” said Butsaev. He added that Moscow region is Russia’s leader in number of special economic zones.
At present, three special economic zones – “Dubna”, “Stupino Kvadrat” and “Istok” are operating on the territory of the Moscow region.
The Minister stressed that Moscow regional industrial parks have attracted a large number of investors to its territories.
