United Innovation Corporation, a subsidiary company of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, and Brazilian SKZ company signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of a project for building Ray Treatment Center in Brazil.
The document was signed by the director general of United Innovation Corporation, Denis Cherednichenko, and the head of SKZ, Renato Cherkizyan, the Russian company’s press release reads.
In particular, according to the memorandum, the parties will collaborate and coordinate their efforts in the implementation of a project for design engineering, construction and exploitation of Ray Treatment Center in Brazil. The facility will apply technologies based on the usage of an electron accelerator, for the purpose of radiation treatment of medical devices, pharmaceutical chemicals, cosmetic products and others.
The project is intended to combine Russian achievements in the field of radiation technologies and Brazilian experience of operation on the country’s market.
