The government of Abu Dhabi entered into an agreement with the company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) to assess the feasibility of construction of Hyperloop line, a vacuum train system, running to Al Ain.
HTT is one of the world leaders in the field of innovative solutions in the transport industry, and the company's technology can have a significant effect on the future of transport in Abu Dhabi, says the company.
“By signing the agreement, we expect to explore the possibility of building the first Hyperloop system, which is one of the most advanced transport technologies, and which is expected to reach a maximum speed of 1,200 km/h. We hope to use this technology and connect Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, the journey between which would take about 8-12 minutes,” — said the representative of the Public Utilities and Transport Department of Abu Dhabi, Khalid Mohamed Hashim.
