Apart from that, Russian and Japanese companies signed a document regarding the construction of a gas and chemical complex in the Far East, RIA Novosti reports on Friday.
The Russian company Rosneft, Japan's Marubeni Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Inpex and JOGMEC concluded an agreement on cooperation in oil production on the licensed plot of land in the offshore area of the Russian Federation.
Representatives of Rosneft also signed with Tokyo authorities a document for a joint feasibility study of a project for construction of gas and chemical complex in the Far East.
The agreement was signed within the framework of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Japan. As it was reported earlier, over 20 deals on energy cooperation are expected to be concluded during the visit of the President.
