Large CNG-terminal to be built in Kaliningrad region

As Construction.RU has been told by the press office of the regional government, the construction site of the new terminal is situated 5 km from the Romanovo settlement in the Zelenogradsk district, where an underground gas storage facility will be built.

Putting the new terminal in operation will provide for the complete energy security of the region and uplevelling the gasification.

The “StroyTransNeftegaz” company has already started pouring the foundation of the terminal. Nearby, a breakwater pier, an oil cargo pier, evaporative systems and gas treating equipment will be erected. A 5-km-long pipeline will be laid under water for gas transportation. The work at the construction site is planned to be completed before the end of the year.
