Companies from Arab countries are showing their interest to projects for the development of hard-to-recover reserves of hydrocarbons, the head of Russian Ministry of Nature, Sergey Donskoy, told reporters on Tuesday.
“I know that many Arab companies are interested in hard-to-recover reserves of hydrocarbons. At the time, Mubadala voiced its interest in subsoil areas with hard-to-recover reserves,” — Donskoy said.
The Minister stressed that the amount of such reserves on the territory of Russia was significant.
“We have a lot of them. I heard that they were estimated at between 90 billion to 200 billion tons. But a geological study is still underway,” he said.
The Minister added that he was unaware about the interest of Qatar Foundation’s involvement in domestic developments.
