A nameless top of the Kuray mountain range situated on the territory of the Altai Republic, in Russia, was named the Mountain of Gazprom, the gas holding reports following a meeting between the head of the Republic of Altai, Alexander Berdnikov, and Chairman of the company’s Board, Alexey Miller.
“At the meeting, Alexander Berdnikov handed over to Alexey Miller a certificate on naming a top of the Kuray mountain range on the territory of the Republic, with the height of 3341 meters, “The Mountain of Gazprom”, — the message reads.
Over the course of the negotiations, Berdnikov and Miller also discussed gasification of the region. In the years of 2007-2016, Gazprom has allocated 5.2 billion rubles for these purposes.
