Chinese CNPC takes part in gas-processing plant construction in Russia

China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation, a company affiliated with Chinese CNPC, will participate in the construction of the Amur gas-processing plant (GPP), according to Gazprom statement.




This decision was taken at a meeting between the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC, Wang Yilin.

“Over the course of a meeting, the implementation of a project for the Amur gas processing plant construction was discussed. The parties concluded the final negotiations on the issue of participation of China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation in the project under an EPC contract for the construction of a gas compressor plant, gas dehydration and fractionation plants”, — the message reads.

The Amur gas processing plant will be built near the city of Svobodny situated in the Amur region. Design capacity of the plant will amount to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The GPP will include the world's largest helium production.
