The main pavilion for 2017 EXPO, which is now under construction in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana, is expected to become the world's largest spherical building.
This is what President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said in an interview with the National Geographic TV channel. According to him, after EXPO show is over, an international financial center and technology park will be located there.
This building has a diameter of 80 meters and a total height of 100 meters. During the exhibition, each of the eight floors of the pavilion will be dedicated to the exposition of the different types of alternative energy sources.
We should remind you that Astana 2017 EXPO international exhibition will run from the 10th of June to the 10th of September this year. The countries from all over the world will demonstrate their latest scientific achievements in the development of “green” energy.
