Swiss Kempinski opens its first five-star hotel in Cuba

Kempinski Hotels, a Swiss group opened the first luxury hotel in Cuba with the price for accommodation reaching $2,500 a day, Rambler News reports on Tuesday.




Gran Hotel Manzana is located in the center of Havana, a capital city of Cuba, and includes 246 rooms, four bars, two restaurants and a swimming pool. The price per room ranges from $440 to $2,500 per day. The hotel houses boutiques of such famous brands as Versace, Giorgio Armani, Lacoste, Montblanc.

The opening of Gran Hotel Manzana in Cuba “is fully consistent with the philosophy” of Kempinski, the company's CEO Xavier Destribats told Figaro. For Kempinski, which manages more than 70 five-star hotels in the world, a hotel in Cuba has become the first one in the territory of North and South America.
