Russia increases investment in US government bonds by $5.1billion

In April, Russia has increased its investments in the US government bonds by $5.1 billion, up to $104.9 billion, the U.S. Treasury reports today.




As it became known, Russian investments in the U.S. Treasury bonds have reached the maximum level in 13 months.

Among the largest creditors of the United States, Russia ranks 14th. The first place is held by Japan.

In March, Russia has invested $13.5 billion in U.S. government bonds, increasing the total investment to $99,8 billion, which allowed the country to take 15th place in the list of the largest creditors of the United States. In April, with investments of $104.9 billion, Russia became the 14th largest creditor of the USA.
