ASE Group of Companies, which is incorporated in Rosatom Atomic Energy State Corporation, has started construction of the second phase of Kudankulam nuclear power plant in India, Rambler news reports on Thursday citing the company’s report.




According to the statement, on June 29, 2017, the ceremony of pouring concrete into the plate of the base of the reactor’s building of power unit No. 3 at Kudankulam NPP, which marks the start of construction at a site of the station’s second phase,” the report reads.

Kudankulam NPP is being built in Tamil Nadu, India, within the framework of the Russian-Indian agreement of the 20th of November 1988, and amendments to it dated the 21st of June, 1998.
