The Nizhniye Mnevniki new metro station of the Third interchange circuit will be designed by the Bustren company from Spain.

As Construction.RU has been told today by the Moscow Mayor’s press-office, the Nizhniye Mnevniki station will be opened in 2019.

Presently, the design documentation is being developed. The architectural look of the station has already been chosen in the course of a competition.

The Spanish company of Bustren initially proposed to build the station after the fashion of the Madrid subway with one two-line tunnel and two platfotms. But then a decision was taken to design it Moscow-style – with one platform which the users of the Moscow Metro are more used to.

The platform will be divided into functional sections: navigation and lighting being put in the centre, in the end sections there will be relax zones with bences in the niches. Along the edge of the platform lightstands will be installed, the security line will be lit as well. The main material for the construction of the station is cast concrete.
