The International Sustainable Transport Award will draw attention to Moscow’s achievements in the field of transport development with a special prize, the Moscow Mayor’s press office reports.
The winners were announced at the Mobilize transport summit in Santiago (Chile), the award ceremony will take place in Washington in January,2018.
The cities of France, the USA, Columbia, China, etc. took part in the competition. The Russian capital will be awarded prize for creating and launching of the Moscow Central Ring and the development and improvement of pedestrian area.
"It is Moscow’s achievement, the third award in 2017, remarked Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov.
To remind you, in 2017 Moscow was awarded the UITP Global Public Transport Awards and TomTom’s prize for parking development.
The International Sustainable Transport Award, founded in 2005, is one of the most prestigious transport awards in the world.
