As it became known on Tuesday, world’s most prestigious prize for best skyscrapers, Emporis Skyscraper Award, was given to three buildings of Shanghai, Moscow and Milan.
According to the media, there are three prize-winners among more than 300 nominees. 632-meter Shanghai Tower is ranked first for its eye-catching design carried out by Gensler Studio, perfect energy supply system – doubles façade of the tower serves as thermos – and the fastest lift in the world.
“Evolution” high-rise building located in Moscow City is ranked second. The building was constructed upon the project of Fillip Nikandrov. Experts were fascinated by its extra-ordinary design – the building spins 150 degrees and contains the architecture features of cupolas of Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed.
Il Dritto skyscraper in Milan designed by Japanese and Italian architects is ranked third.
