Installation of special screens designed to protect residents of the area from noise was launched on some sections of the Crimean bridge, a structure connecting the Crimean Kerch Peninsula and Russia’s Taman Peninsula.

As Russian media reported on Friday, the height of the screens varies from 3 to 6 meters. The construction activities will be carried out on the sections adjacent to banks of the Kerch Strait. In addition, such noise screens will be mounted along the bridge on the side of the Azov Sea, on the section located 700 meters from the Taman coast. Another part of the noise screens will be installed on the side of the cape Ak-Burun.

These metal structures have three-layer panels designed to provide protection against noise. Such panels are resistant to different unfavorable weather conditions and are inflammable. At the moment, builders have mounted sound screens only on the automobile part of the bridge but later such screens will also appear along the railway.
