A large greenhouse complex located in the north of the Kaluga region, Russia, will be sold at a tender. The starting price is 940 million rubles ($16 million).

The facility occupying an area of more than 50 hectares was put up for sale by the Russian Auction House, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday. This decision is connected with the beginning of the bankruptcy proceedings of the company Rose Garden which also owns a network of flower shops.

The greenhouse complex consists of a plot of land of fifty hectares, five greenhouses for the production of flowers, in particular chrysanthemums and roses, as well as a warehouse and administrative premises. A total area of the greenhouses themselves is 2,400 sqm.

The lot will be put up for public auction on May 3, 2018. It is worth noting that the greenhouse complex operates with the use of modern Dutch technologies ensuring full autonomy.
