The Moscow police have not detained any activist during a student rally held on Saturday near the main building of Moscow State University, RBC news agency reports citing its own sources.
About 150 students gathered to block the entrance, protesting against the hosting of a fan zone of 2018 World Cup, as well as the Festival of Fans. The activists held their hands and formed a human chain.
As previously reported, the fan zone will be located 300 meters away from the high rise building of the University. Protesters argue that a constant noise coming from the fan zone will “negatively impact the conduct of scientific research at the University”.
