According to a decree of the Russian government, all works related to ensuring the safety of transport on the bridge across the Kerch Strait should be completed by December 1, 2019.
The corresponding document was published today on the legal information website. It says that the FSUE “The Security Department of the Transport Ministry of Russia” was assigned to execute works related to ensuring transport safety.
This concerns both to the automobile and railway part of this transportation passage connecting the Republic of Crimea and the Krasnodar region of Russia.
This month, the movement of cars across the bridge will be opened, while cargo transport will be able to take advantage of the new passage this autumn. The railway part of the Crimean bridge is planned to be put in operation at the end of next year.
