Chairman of the Russian Government, Dmitry Medvedev, gave a number of instructions related to the innovation development and modernization of the economy.

In particular, the matter concerns the implementation of Autonet project plan. So, by the end of the next month, the Federal Road Agency should determine the road sections, where unmanned and electric transport will be tested. State-owned company Avtodor was instructed to select a pilot site for conducting tests on M 11 high-speed highway connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg.

As Avtodor reported later, the pilot site has already been determined — Vyshny Volochok in the Tver region. This option has a number of advantages. In particular, the absence of intersections with other roads and settlements along the route where unmanned vehicles will be tested. This will provide maximum safety during testing of the new transport.
