During a month of the operation of the Crimean bridge road part, more than 500,000 vehicles have passed across the newly built structure, the project’s informational center said on Wednesday.
The press release notes that the calculation took into account the traffic coming in both directions of the bridge, including scheduled buses, which number has amounted to about 5,000 since the opening of the traffic movement on the new highway on 16 May. The intensity of traffic towards the Crimea amounted to more than 274,000 vehicles, while that to Taman was about 233,000.
At the same time, bus traffic is more evenly distributed. At the beginning of the month, 70 buses were going towards the Crimea on a daily basis and the same amount was coming back to Taman. Since mid-June, the intensity of bus traffic has increased and amounted to about 200 travels a day in both directions.
