Energy Saving Agency of the Udmurt Republic has prepared an investment project for overall development of the territory of the city of Izhevsk, located at the road of Sarapul highway.
The main task is the construction of a waste incineration plant with a small-sized thermal power plant.
The Agency’s director, Pavel Berlinsky, said that at present, the wastes are just brought to a landfield and are left there. The landfilled at Sarapul highway is conserved, but there are effluxions.
Construction of a plant will cost 4 m roubles, the whole project is estimated at 16 bln roubles. The Republic will have to invest no more than 5 bln roubles, the rest 11 bln roubles are expected to be invested by private entities.
