The Moscow authorities began to look for a contractor that will carry out the restoration of the Western and Eastern outbuildings of Vorontsovo estate, the Moscow City Heritage Committee said.
“Now we are looking for a contractor who will be entrusted with the restoration of two outbuildings, the projects have been agreed by our department,” the head of the department Aleksey Yemelyanov said in a press release.
Within the framework of the planned works, it is supposed to recreate stone and brick decor, window and door openings. Also, two porches and decorative tile stoves and chimneys will be reconstructed. In addition, it is planned to restore the wooden structure of the roof.
In the Western wing, the main entrance will be restored, as well as wooden floors and an internal staircase. The buildings will be equipped with a ramp and evacuation ladders. All elements of wood should be treated with antiseptics. The specialists will modernize the engineering systems and equipment. Also, landscaping of the adjacent territory is planned, the report says.
As a reference, Vorontsovo estate is located on the historical territory of the former Moscow district. It was first mentioned in the XIV century.
