Lukoil set to build chemical plant jointly with French investors

Lukoil PJSC, the largest oil company in Russia, jointly with the French company SNFFLOERGER, will build a powerful plant for acrylamide and polyacrylamide production in the city of Rostov.




The ceremony for laying the foundation stone will be held on the 26th of May, the press office of the regional Economic Development Ministry told Construction.ru on Tuesday.

The president of the SNF Group of Companies, Rene Pich, and the president of Lukoil PJSC, Vagit Alekperov, are to take part in the ceremony. The construction of the new manufacturing facility is planned for the territory of the “Saratovorgsintez”, LLC.

Over 160 jobs are to be created at the new enterprise, with an average wage of 25,000 roubles.

The initial capacity of the plant will amount to 20,000 tons of polyacrylamide in 2018, with a further ramping up of production in the future.
